2. Cannot carry cups in to another participating business

What is a participating business?
Participating business refers to one of the 13 liquor permit holders currently participating in M.O.R.A.
What is a MORA friendly business?
MORA friendly refers to a business within the MORA boundaries that is not a liquor permit holder. Examples include: Mary's Blossom Shoppe, Lakelynn Design, Northern Exposure etc.
These businesses have the option to display a MORA friendly sign in their business.
FAQs
Can I walk anywhere with my MORA cup?
No, you must stay within the MORA boundaries. Leaving the MORA with an alcoholic beverage breaks State of Ohio and City of Port Clinton open container laws.
Can I take my MORA cup back inside the establishment in which it was purchased?
No, once a MORA cup has left a business, it must be consumed and discarded before you enter any establishment other than a MORA friendly business. This includes reentering the business in which it was purchased or entering a new liquor permit holding business.
Can I take an empty MORA cup into a business so I can reuse it?
NO! You must throw away the cup before entering a new participating business.
What types of alcoholic beverage can I have in my MORA cup?
Beer, wine and liquor are all allowable drinks in MORA cups. Drinks must be purchased from participating businesses.
Can I bring my own alcoholic beverage, pour it into a MORA cup, and walk around in the MORA?
No, only drinks purchased from businesses participating in the MORA are allowed. No cans, glass bottles, or outside drinks are permitted within the boundaries.
NOTE: All State of Ohio and City of Port Clinton laws regarding public intoxication, impaired driving, and open containers apply to areas both inside and outside of the MORA boundaries. Please drink responsibly.
